Industrial flair at Die Macherei

Die Macherei was developed by Art-Invest Real Estate and Accumulata Real Estate. ALDI SÜD's store, on the ground floor of the M2 building on Berg-am-Laim-Straße, adds an organic and fresh-produce-led grocery offer to the office and commercial quarter. A stylised "A" logo, built as a Corten-steel installation, and lighting matched to the building tie the store into the quarter's design, alongside black signage, open ceilings, and exposed concrete across the roughly 1,500-square-metre sales floor.

"We want to be close to our customers," says Justus Rehn, who heads ALDI SÜD's newly founded Munich project development office.
